Nowadays, around one in four to five people report subjectively perceived intolerances.

  • According to an article in Gesundheitwelt magazine², food intolerances are on the rise among the population. Many people are noticing increased sensitivity in themselves. Those who experience such reactions can specifically support their personal needs by making conscious and appropriate food choices.

What are food reactions and individual micronutrient requirements?

Many people find that they are sensitive to certain ingredients in food or to environmental influences. At the same time, personal requirements for vitamins, minerals, and trace elements vary, influenced by factors such as diet, lifestyle, and age. Those who consciously monitor their diet can better understand their own needs and respond to them in a targeted manner.

Amino acids
Amino acids are chemical compounds that form long chains and form the basic structure of proteins. They are found in all living organisms and perform numerous important functions in the human body. The body can produce some of the amino acids itself; these are therefore referred to as non-essential. The essential amino acids, on the other hand, cannot be produced independently and must be taken in regularly through food.

Stress parameters

FP-DETOX*, FP-Oxidative-SRS*², FP-Hcyst*

Enzymes
Enzymes are complex protein molecules that act as “accelerators” (also known as biocatalysts) of biochemical reactions and metabolic processes in the human body. This means that they accelerate biochemical reactions by reducing the necessary activation energy.
Tested substances: Bromelain, papain, pepsin, nattokinase¹

Microplastics
Twelve plastics are included in the comprehensive test.
Benzyl butyl phthalate (BBP), bisphenol A (BPA), di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), di-isodecyl phthalate (DIDP), di-isononyl phthalate (DINP), dibutyl phthalate (DBP), polyethylene (PE), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polypropylene (PP), polystyrene (PS), polyvinyl chloride (PVC)

Minerals
Minerals are essential nutrients that must be taken in with food and that the human body needs for numerous functions. Minerals are divided into bulk and trace elements. Bulk elements are present in the body in relatively large quantities, whereas trace elements are only present in small quantities.
Tested substances: Boron, iron, iodinepotassium, selenium, silicon, calcium, magnesium, chromium, copper, manganese, zinc, germanium ¹, lithium ¹

Secondary plant substances
Secondary plant substances are natural chemical compounds in plants that are not essential nutrients. They are formed during plant metabolism and influence the color, aroma and taste of fruit, vegetables and herbs, among other things. These diverse compounds can be responsible for the bright colors of berries or peppers, for example. They are often found in the outer layers, skins and leaves, which is why it can make sense to prepare plant-based foods as freshly and gently as possible.

Special parameters
Various substances are included in specialized evaluations in order to cover a broad spectrum of parameters.
FP probiotics, omega-3 fatty acids, chloride, D-ribose, lecithin, pregnenolone¹, SAMe¹, D-ribose¹, ashwagandha¹, MSM¹, pine bark extract¹, cannabidiol¹, curcumin¹, ginseng extract¹, goji berry extract¹, grapefruit seed extract (GSE)¹, melatonin¹, chaga¹, cordyceps¹, hericium¹, reishi¹, schisandra¹, vitamin B17¹

Vitamins
Vitamins are organic compounds and, unlike other nutrients, vitamins do not provide energy. They are substances that the body cannot synthesize itself (with the exception of vitamin D). They are therefore considered essential for humans as they must be taken in with food.
Vit A, Vit B5, Vit B7, Vit D, Vit E, Vit K2, Vit B1, Vit B12, Vit B2, Vit B3, Vit B6, Vit B9, Vit C, Vit K1¹

Vitaminoids
Vitaminoids are vitamin-like substances that comprise a range of different substances and metabolites. They were all initially assigned to the group of vitamins until it was discovered that the body can synthesize them itself. They therefore belong to the group of conditionally essential nutrients.
Choline, Coenzyme Q10, Inositol, L-Carnitine, Taurine, Alpha-Lipoic acid, Vit B15 (Pangamic acid), Vit B10 (PABA), inositol¹

Questions about intolerances

What are Individual Food Reactions?
An individual intolerance to food means that the body perceives and experiences certain foods or substances differently. Unlike allergies, these are usually perceptions in the area of digestion or general body feeling. Such reactions are often related to the individual processing of certain foods or ingredients.
Observing Food Intolerances
Some people occasionally observe reactions such as an unusual stomach feeling, bloating, or nausea after consuming certain foods. These can sometimes occur only after a few hours, which can make attribution difficult.
Common Food Intolerances
Commonly observed individual reactions involve foods such as dairy products (lactose), fruits (fructose), grains (gluten), or histamine-containing foods.
Difference between allergies and intolerances
In an allergy, the immune system reacts to certain substances and can trigger stronger physical reactions. Individual food reactions, on the other hand, typically do not involve the immune system and manifest predominantly in the area of digestion or general body feeling.
Dealing with intolerances in everyday life
Individual food reactions sometimes lead to the need for adjustments in diet. A positive approach and creative ideas in the kitchen help to make everyday life varied and enjoyable.

Questions about Our Tests
